My Journey

I’ve spent over 22 years in education, wearing multiple hats as a science educator, STEAM coordinator, and curriculum designer. I’ve led departments, mentored teachers, and helped shape engaging, real-world connected learning experiences for students. My goal has always been to make teaching and learning more impactful, purposeful, and inspiring for teachers and students.

Why The Savvy Education?

Throughout my career, I’ve caught glimpses of how integrated curriculum, Understanding by Design (UbD), and innovative teaching strategies can transform classrooms. I believe in their power when applied with care, intentionality, and consistency. This belief fuels my passion for exploring and helping educators implement these strategies in meaningful ways. That’s why I created The Savvy Education—to provide support, strategies, and resources that make effective teaching approaches simple, practical, and achievable.
